MCATA 2010

Arrived safely in Calgary last night, for the 2010 MCATA conference being held at The Coast Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre.  This year’s Conference is titled “The Joy is in the Journey”! I am looking forward to attending many informative sessions and I’m sure to discover learning strategies and tips to help me within my classroom!  I am particularly interested in hearing Dr. Arthur Benjamin present on “Mathemagics.”  “America’s Best Math Whiz”, as labelled by Reader’s Digest should be very intriquing.

About musingsofamathteacher

I am presently employed at New Sarepta Elementary School as a grade five teacher. During my career I have taught Grades 12 - 2. The past three years I was fortunate to work part-time as Math Lead for my school district, Black Gold Regional Schools, and have just recently accepted a part-time secondment with Edmonton Regional Learning Consortium. I have always had a passion for mathematics and am excited about implementing Alberta's "new" mathematics curriculum.
