Countdown to the End of June!

Well June is speeding by quite quickly, and although summer will soon be upon us, I have a few unfinished topics to attend to.

My students have been working diligently on Shape and Space topics, and are about to finalize their grade five year by working on Probablility and Statistics activities.

Some of my favorite sites this month are:

Summer’s Here
Summer’s here!
Another year of school is at an end.
We’ve learned a lot and grown a lot
and made a lot of friends.
We’ll say goodbye,
now summer’s here,
it’s time for us to part.
But we’ll remember all our friends
and keep them in our hearts.

About musingsofamathteacher

I am presently employed at New Sarepta Elementary School as a grade five teacher. During my career I have taught Grades 12 - 2. The past three years I was fortunate to work part-time as Math Lead for my school district, Black Gold Regional Schools, and have just recently accepted a part-time secondment with Edmonton Regional Learning Consortium. I have always had a passion for mathematics and am excited about implementing Alberta's "new" mathematics curriculum.
