About Me

I am presently employed at New Sarepta Elementary School, New Sarepta, Alberta, as a grade five teacher.

I live just outside of New Sarepta, on an acreage, with my husband and three children.

During my career I have taught Grades 2 – 12.  In the recent past I was fortunate to be involved with the Edmonton Regional Learning Consortium as part of the Regional Mathematics Team.  Prior to this I was acting Math Lead – Elementary and Junior High for my school district, Black Gold Regional Schools. I have always had a passion for mathematics and am excited about implementing Alberta’s “new” mathematics curriculum.

I look forward to sharing ideas, thoughts, tips, and internet sites with colleagues!

I’m very interested in your blog, Carrie, and enjoyed checking it out this morning. I’m new to Consulting Services with Edmonton Public Schools (previously a Div II teacher for many years), and I love the idea of an on-line community for elementary math teachers. I’ll pass your website on to the teachers I work with, and plan to be a regular visitor/participant. Contact me anytime – I’d like to here how your finding your new assignment. Thanks for sharing!
